Explore the Jewish history of Seville on a guided walk through the historic San Bartolomé and Santa Cruz quarters, once part of the city’s medieval Jewish district. During the tour, walk through the streets where Seville’s Jewish community lived for centuries and discover how the neighborhood changed over time. See the sites of former synagogues, learn about the importance of Santa María la Blanca, and visit streets and squares connected to Jewish families, daily life, trade and religion. Your guide will explain what happened to the community during the medieval period, including the violence of 1391, the rise of the conversos and the later impact of the Inquisition.
