When night falls in Santo Domingo, some of the city's best street food comes alive. Away from the usual tourist areas, neighborhood food stands fill with locals enjoying their favorite evening meals. Join me for a private street food experience through the neighborhoods where Dominicans actually eat. I'm a local guide from Santo Domingo, and I'll personally take you to three of my favorite food spots to discover four popular Dominican dishes. **Our first stop is Pica Pollo El Faro**, where we'll try crispy Dominican-style fried chicken and talk about the Chinese-Dominican influence behind this local favorite. Next, we'll visit **Patricio Chimi** for two specialties: *pierna en plato*, roasted pork served with vegetables and sauces, and *yaroa*, a delicious combination of meat, melted cheese, and fries or sweet plantain. We'll finish at **Leo Chimi** with a freshly grilled Dominican *chimi*, a street food sandwich packed with seasoned meat, vegetables, and sauces. Along the way, you'll experience the everyday atmosphere of Santo Domingo at night, discover local food traditions, and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about Dominican life. **This is a private tour for a maximum of four guests.** I'll pick you up at your accommodation in Santo Domingo in my air-conditioned SUV, drive between the food stops, and bring you back afterward. There's very little walking, and we can enjoy the evening at a comfortable pace. All four food tastings, bottled water, and light non-alcoholic drinks are included. You won't need to worry about finding the food spots or arranging transportation. Come hungry, curious, and ready to experience a side of Santo Domingo that most visitors never see.

  • Very little walking is required, but some food stops may have uneven sidewalks or steps.
  • We visit authentic neighborhood food establishments, not upscale restaurants or tourist attractions.
  • The tour takes approximately three hours, depending on traffic and service times.
  • Pickup and drop-off are included within Santo Domingo. Airport transfers and locations outside the city are not included.

Drop-off: After our final food stop, I'll personally drive you back to your original pickup location in Santo Domingo. If you'd prefer another drop-off location within the city, please let me know in advance so we can confirm whether it's possible.

Cancellation policy: Flexible: Full refund up to 24h before

Cancel within that window and your deposit comes back in full. After it, the deposit isn't returned. If the guide cancels, you get it back whenever that happens.
