Start at the legendary Hagia Sophia, once one of the great wonders of the medieval world, then move on to the Blue Mosque with its famous tiles and stories of Islamic art and tradition. After a local lunch, we head into Topkapi Palace, including the Harem section, to hear tales of sultans, intrigue, and the powerful women behind Ottoman history. From there it's on to the ancient Hippodrome, once the site of chariot races and imperial ceremonies, before finishing in the colourful maze of the 550-year-old Grand Bazaar, where you'll learn to bargain like a local. Along the way you'll taste baklava, sip tea or coffee, and hear the stories, legends, and myths that connect Istanbul's past to its present. This is a private, guide-led walking tour built to make you feel less like a tourist and more like a local exploring your own city.
