This full-day tour from Le Havre takes you through the key sites of the D-Day landings, told through a perspective you won't find in any history book. As the grandson of Resistance fighters who lived through the occupation, I share stories passed down directly from people who were there - the things that never made it into print. We'll trace the Allied advance step by step: the brutal first days of fighting in Arromanches, the reality of the Atlantic Wall at Longues-sur-Mer, the capture of the Cherbourg Peninsula explained in detail at Sainte-Mère-Église, and the initial assault on Omaha Beach itself. We close the day at the Normandy American Cemetery, where I share the personal stories of many of the 9,388 young men who never went home.
