About Luz
Born and raised in Mexico City, I’ve always been curious about food, people, and discovering new sides of my city. My journey into hospitality happened almost by chance when a friend invited me to work at a local music festival. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed bringing people together and creating experiences for them. After earning a degree in Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey and spending some time exploring the corporate world, I found my way into tourism and never really looked back. I’ve been lucky enough to live in different countries, but I always ended up coming back to Mexico City — a place I know and love like a fish in its own element. My passion for Mexican food started in my grandmother’s kitchen and has grown through years of exploring markets, street food, restaurants, and local traditions. I recently completed a specialization in Mexican Culture and Gastronomy, which has allowed me to dive even deeper into the history, ingredients, and traditions behind the food I love sharing with others. When I’m not guiding, you’ll probably find me wandering around the city, trying a new place, going to a concert, or simply learning something new. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and showing them the Mexico City I know. beyond the usual tourist spots.
