About Jelena
I have several years of experience leading gastronomy and walking tours through Lisbon's historic center, from Graça to Bairro Alto, with a background in tourism as well as a degree in Fine Arts and experience in performance and photography. My specialty is blending history, art, and architecture with everyday local life; I love showing guests hidden gems and shortcuts most visitors never find on their own, and I keep my routes easy to walk, mostly downhill, since Lisbon's hills can be tough. What makes me unique is that I don't just guide through Alfama, I live there, so the neighbor and their traditions are truly part of my daily life. I'm a native Serbo-Croatian speaker, fluent in English and Portuguese, and I can also communicate in two additional languages, which helps me connect with travellers from many backgrounds. For me, a tour isn't just sightseeing, it's a real taste of the spirit of Lisbon
